About Kara Kelly
Kara’s long term aim is to continue in this field and work domestically and abroad in cyber security and data privacy.
Previous experience includes working as an Advisor for the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in their Assessment (audit) team. Kara also worked as a Cyber Risk Analyst for Deloitte as a client based consultant and for the NSW Department of Justice for the NSW Attorney Generals team working on policy and research within the Attorney Generals portfolio.
Kara has also completed an internship with the United Nations Criminal Law and Judicial Advisory Service in New York working towards improving international peace and security.
Kara was a member of a small group that developed a War Simulation Game in conjunction with Macquarie University in 2015 and assistant for the Countering Violent Extremist Conference hosted by Macquarie University in 2014.
